There currently is an Ombudsman position for the appeals process, but there is not an Ombudsman for either the application process, nor the maintaining benefits process. This is a navigable mind-map for the creation of a VA Ombudsman position to interact and assist Veterans making application and/or seeking treatment from the Veteran's Administration.
